How to Clear Your Cache, Cookies, & History
Your browser automatically stores past websites you’ve visited, images you’ve saved, your passwords, and a ton of other information. While this information might be useful, over time, it takes up space on your hard drive, and could lead to issues like 404 errors (resulting from a corrupted cache).
Instructions
In Chrome
Go to: chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
Click “Advancedâ€
Select “Browsing historyâ€, “Download historyâ€, “Cookies and other site dataâ€, and “Cached images and filesâ€.
If you want, you can select a time range, i.e. “Last hourâ€, or “Last 4 weeksâ€.
Click “Clear Dataâ€
Exit all browser windows, and reopen
In Microsoft Edge
Go to: edge://settings/clearbrowserdata
Go to Clear browsing data and Choose what to clear
Select “Browsing historyâ€, “Download historyâ€, “Cookies and other site dataâ€, and “Cached images and filesâ€.
If you want, you can select a time range, i.e. “Last hourâ€, or “Last 4 weeksâ€.
Click “Clear Dataâ€
Exit all browser windows, and reopen.
