You are able to choose your color and type of case update.
Also, Case Updates works with your Case Notes Subject if you click ‘Yes’ so you can add a Case Note and make it your last case update as well.
The purpose is for users to have the Case Status, Case Milestone, and Last Case Update to have a good idea of where the case is at in the process without having to read through all the Case Notes.
